We have had a fantastic start to our Maths this year! Lots of children have already achieved their certificates for their 10 times tables and division facts with most children now achieving their 2's and 5's.

There has been an enormous amount of children who have surpassed expectations of this time of year too, achieving their Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates, with children even accelerating to their 3s and 4s!!!

We are incredibly proud of the hard work that the children have put in!

Queens Day

We had a history day where we learnt all about Queen Elizabeth 1 and Queen Victoria. We kick started it with all the children and staff dressing up as a Royal (from past or present), this really engaged the children and we had a fantastic day!

Music Day!

The children enjoyed a Music themed day where they composed their own music clapping and using instruments. They then had a go at making instruments and playing music with them! Take a look at our photos.

World Book Day 2020

This year our whole school theme was non-fiction texts! Year 2 decided to celebrate this by dressing as superheroes; real or fictional. We explored who Community Heroes are, discussing the roles of nurses, Drs, carers, teachers, police officers, fire men and women etc. We had lots of fun creating a Superhero fact file! Take a look at our pictures :)

Remembrance Day

We have learnt all about the importance of Remembrance Day in class. To commemorate this occasion we used different materials to make our own poppies and wrote our own poems.

During the month of May children are required to sit 6 SATS papers:

  • 2 reading papers

End of Year Assessment

Below you will find the document that children will be assessed against at the end of the academic year. Children must meet all of the objectives within each standard to be awarded that standard. If children are missing any of the statements then they cannot achieve age expected.
