In Year 1 we learn and play together with Mrs Garratt and Mrs Kellman.
Mrs Waterhouse is our super HLTA who covers Mrs Garratt on Thursday afternoon and Mrs Kellman on Tuesday afternoon and all day Friday.

Clothes
Bookbags
Please ensure that your child has their book bag at school every Wednesday. This will enable us to access their reading books and records and issue a new book. We now only change book bags on Wednesdays, so please try to bring them on the correct day. Book bags will go home on a Friday.
PE
Children will need to come in P.E kit on Wednesday and Friday.
Indoor P.E every Wednesday.
Your child will need to wear:
-Navy/ black shorts
-Plain white t-shirt
-Velcro trainers
Outdoor P.E is every Friday.
Your child will need to wear:
-Plain track suit bottoms (black or navy)
-Plain hooded top/ track suit op (black or navy)
-Velcro trainers and socks
Homework
In Year 1 your child will be expected to complete reading, maths and spelling homework every week:
Reading - Reading books will be changed every Wednesday. All children will bring home a reading book with sounds they have been learning in phonics that week. Children will bring home a book every Friday and should read over the weekend before returning on Wednesday. Children will be familiar with the sounds in the book so should be encouraged to read with increasing speed.
Maths - Your child will have a bingo sheet to complete for the whole half term.
Spelling - Children will be set weekly Spelling Shed homework which they can complete by using their own unique spelling login found in the front of their reading log.
