    Long Term Plan 2024-25

    PE Days 2024-25

This year, children can wear their PE kit to school on PE days instead of their regular school uniform. No branded PE kit should be worn and it is suggested that earrings are removed for PE days.

    Indoor PE - Tuesdays

Your child will need to bring a white t-shirt and a pair of black or navy shorts. It would also be useful for them to have trainers for the fitness circuits unit in Autumn term.

    Outdoor PE - Fridays

Your child will need to bring a white t-shirt, black or navy shorts or joggers, a black or navy hooded top and a pair of trainers.

If your child does not have the correct PE for two weeks in a row, they will be asked to miss a playtime. We hope that this helps towards them being more responsible and ready for the expectations of high school.

    Homework NEW!

Each week, children will be expected to complete a variety of homework tasks to support their in class learning. Tasks include:

Reading - Complete x1 task in their CGP SATs Buster books. These will be marked together in school on Fridays.

Spelling - Activities in their spelling journal using the spelling list.

Maths - Arithmetic test. An additional SATs Buster task will be sent out later in the term.

Homework will be given out on Fridays and we expect it to be returned on or before Wednesday of the following week.

Bookbag - Children will also be expected to read each week and return their book bag each week, signed by an adult. They can choose to read whole books, chapters, articles or any other reading of their choice. We encourage the children to read anything they can. New - For every entry in their reading record, children will gain an entry into the Y6 reading prize draw.

If homework is not returned on time, your child will miss their playtime on Thursday.
