Two breakfast clubs run each morning to provide a fun start to the day, improve attendance and punctuality, support parents' needs for childcare and to ensure that we are fulfilling our aim to remove hunger as a barrier to learning.
Up to one hundred children are provided with a healthy breakfast, early morning games, a chance to talk and a place to catch up on any unfinished homework. Children attending morning work classes also often take a breakfast before these classes start.
Breakfast Clubs start at 8.00am:
- Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 children have breakfast in the school house.
- Year 5 and Year 6 meet in the school hall
The cost of the club is 55p per day* though children eligible for free school meals are not charged and is paid for through Pupil Premium funding.
There is also no charge for children in Year 5 and 6.
Breakfast will be served until 8.30am. If you choose to bring your child after this time, we will be unable to provide breakfast.
It is each parents responsibility to ensure that their child is escorted safely to breakfast club each morning. If you fail to do so, we reserve the right to withdraw your place.
Both clubs are very popular and have waiting lists.
Interested families should contact: Mrs Atkins in the School Office
* Should your child be unable to attend the club on any day due to absence etc, you will still be charged for the missed session
