Looking after your mind is just as important as looking after your body! Look through the activities below and give some a go!

    Happy Jar

    1. Collect a jar, decorate as you choose
    2. Every day write down something you have to be happy for
    3. At the end of the time period (week/month/term/year) tip them all out and look through to remind yourselves of the good things around you

    Pebble Pictures

    1. Draw or paint on pebbles with different faces/ words to express different emotions.
    2. You can choose the emotion you want to work on, or a selection of emotions.
    3. Then think about what triggers these emotions, and how you can deal with them

    Writing Letters

Some young people have found it useful to write letters to themselves when they were going through a difficult time or at a certain age.

It can also be useful to write a letter to someone who has upset you or made you angry to enable your emotions to be aired – even though you may never send it.
