    Cleaning Operative (Part Time 19 Hours per week)

     

    Due to the resignation of a valued member of our site team, we are seeking to appoint a reliable and conscientious Part-Time Cleaning Operative to join our staff.

    This position is offered on a year-round contract, working 19 hours per week, with 28 days' annual leave, some of which must be taken during the school's Christmas and Summer School Holidays. The appointment will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent following a successful probationary period.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the school. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

    • Sweeping and mopping floors
    • Cleaning classrooms, offices, and communal areas
    • Cleaning tables and surfaces
    • Maintaining toilet facilities
    • Window cleaning
    • Other general cleaning duties as required

    Some manual handling and lifting may be required as part of the role.

    Applicants should ideally have previous cleaning experience. A good standard of spoken and written English, together with effective reading skills, is essential for health and safety purposes, including the safe use of cleaning products and the ability to read and follow instructions on chemical labels.

    We are looking for an individual who is dependable, hardworking, takes pride in their work, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

    Applicants must provide details of at least two referees. References for shortlisted candidates will be sought prior to interview.

    Hours of Work: 19 hours, Monday to Friday
