In Year 4 the children learn with Mr Rhodes and Miss Browne, with Miss Donaghy, Mrs Bailey and Miss Olga as our teaching assistants. Each class will be taught by Mrs Gatenby for some sessions at the end of each week too.
We are very excited to start our new term and for the children to learn all about our Year 4 curriculum. We have lots of exciting lessons and opportunities across the year which we will keep you updated on.
Swimming starts on the second week back with the first session being Wednesday 9th September. Children will need to bring a towel and their swimming kit to each session. It is quicker and easier for children to wear their swimming costume under their school clothes during the day, rather than changing into it at Armley Leisure Centre.
Please see below for details about Year 4's curriculum.
If you would like any further information about our curriculum, please speak to a member of the Year 4 team.
Our learning in each subject this half-term will be:

Spelling homework is now set on a Friday and will come home in the children's spelling journal. Maths homework is set at the start of a term and will be a bingo card with nine activities to complete before the end of half-term.
Spelling homework is due back to school by the following Wednesday.

We will be taking the children to Dobroyd Castle Robinwood Activity Centre in April. Any useful documents about this visit will be uploaded here when we receive them.
Until then, you can have a look at some of the past visits to Robinwood by clicking on School Life > Residentials > Robinwood
